Howe Cup 2011

E&DCL is proud to announce that Tahir Cup [Alberta Championship Trophy] came to the Edmonton this year. Rising Stars [140/6] defeated Crown [139/All out] by 4 wickets in 38 Overs.

There are slight changes made to the Howe cup schedule. Since Monday, Oct 10th is a holiday (long weekend), Howe Cup Final will be played on that day instead of the following weekend. (See attached Schedule)

*** NOTE: Due to cold weather and rain for past few days, VP turf may not be dry enough to have a game. Therefore there is a possibility that games scheduled at VP for Saturday may be moved to St. Albert. Pitch assessment will be made tonite and e-mail will be send if there are any further changes.***

E&DCL like to congratulate Edmonton CC for 1st Division Winners and Ginni Memorial CC for 2nd Division Winners.

Please find the attached Howe Cup schedule for 2011 season. Note that Howe Cup is played in T20 format and following rules are applicable.

* No Juniors/Guest Players/floaters allowed due to knockout tournament format.
* Restricted list applies for more than 1 team

Other Events:

Tahir Cup (50 Over Game) will be played On Saturday (Oct 1st) at VP between two Premiere Division Champions of Edmonton and Calgary - Rising Stars CC vs Crown CC

Also Scona CC is holding its Annual Memorial Cup in the memory of all those people who are not amongst us and have devoted their lives for the betterment of the Cricket in Edmonton. T20 Game will be played on Sunday (Oct 2nd)  2:30 PM at Victoria Park. Clubs are required to nominate ONE player from their club to play in this game. Please send us your nominated player by the end of this week (Fri, Sep 30).
