Job Title: Grounds Person (Victoria Park Cricket Ground)
Reports To: The Executive Committee, E&DCL

Job Purpose

• To maintain The Victoria Park Cricket Ground to E&DCL Standards
• Provide a high standard of Ground Facilities
• Carry out all duties in a safe manner within current City Health & Safety Regulations

Main Responsibilities

A new initiative by Edmonton & District Cricket League – A platform where our best men and juniors will be trained to improve their cricketing skills and work on their fitness. Objective of this program is to instil professional attitude among our players and ensures that they are ready to give tough competition and can successfully compete at the higher stage.

We believe that team cohesion is a key element for a success, therefore by training together these men and juniors will be building camaraderie among themselves and working towards a common goal of winning.

Edmonton & District Cricket League once again brings you Annual Banquet on January 14^th 2012 at The Palace Banquet Hall (3223 Parsons Road [99 Street] – 7:00 PM).

Cricket Alberta and Edmonton & district league are proud to host western Canada tournament in our city on August 26th and 27th at Victoria Park. We will be privileged to see some of the best cricket action from players across Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba and Saskatchewan, competing for western division title.

Cricket Alberta is hosting their first Alberta T-20 Club Championship at Red Deer, from July 30 - August 01, 2011. Rules and other details are to follow. All games will be played in Color clothing with white balls.

Millwoods Cricket Club is hosting their THIRD ANUAL SIX-A-SIDE TOURNMENT ON 31ST JULY (SUNDAY) AT MILLWOODS CRICKET GROUND.
 
All the club if you like to enter  a team in the tournment let us know by WEDNESSDAY
 
ENTERY FEE $75.00
 
Lunch will be provied and their will be open BBQ at the end of the tournment.
 
Their will be CASH prize for the winner and second place team, as well for MVP BEST BATSMAN, BEST BOWLER and BEST FIELDER.

Howe Cup 2010 final was going to be a repeat of the 2009 Howe Cup final. ECC was playing Rising Stars again and each team wanted to end the season with the  coveted Howe Cup trophy in their hands. So, the scene was set for an intense finale.

September 12th 2010, a big game day when the Edmonton Premier League final was played between Millwoods and Rising Stars. Morale and hopes were high for both teams as they had secured the top positions in the league (Millwoods: 9-3-0; Rising Stars: 8-3-1). Momentum was certainly on Rising Stars side as they had won their last 5 games to secure their spot in the Final! The Rising Stars team had come from a convincing 7 wickets win in the semi-final against Gujarat; they knew that they were facing a tough opponent in the final. The Millwoods team had shown great success throughout the season and undoubtedly had several of the most talented players in the league.
