A new initiative by Edmonton & District Cricket League – A platform where our best men and juniors will be trained to improve their cricketing skills and work on their fitness. Objective of this program is to instil professional attitude among our players and ensures that they are ready to give tough competition and can successfully compete at the higher stage.

Millwoods Cricket Club is hosting their THIRD ANUAL SIX-A-SIDE TOURNMENT ON 31ST JULY (SUNDAY) AT MILLWOODS CRICKET GROUND.
 
All the club if you like to enter  a team in the tournment let us know by WEDNESSDAY
 
ENTERY FEE $75.00
 
Lunch will be provied and their will be open BBQ at the end of the tournment.

Rising Stars prevail over Millwoods to become the Premiere Division Champions of 2010

September 12th 2010, a big game day when the Edmonton Premier League final was played between Millwoods and Rising Stars. Morale and hopes were high for both teams as they had secured the top positions in the league (Millwoods: 9-3-0; Rising Stars: 8-3-1). Momentum was certainly on Rising Stars side as they had won their last 5 games to secure their spot in the Final! The Rising Stars team had come from a convincing 7 wickets win in the semi-final against Gujarat; they knew that they were facing a tough opponent in the final. The Millwoods team had shown great success throughout the season and undoubtedly had several of the most talented players in the league.

Alberta Sports Hall of Fame

At the end of November 2010 the Red Deer Sports hall of fame opened its first exhibit on Cricket. Thanks to many private donations of artifacts and records the staff of the museum, and in particular Tanya Read, compiled a very attractive account to introduce cricket into its rightful spot in the museum. Tanya would liked to have made a larger exhibit and many of the collected items could not be incorporated into this first display. However, it's a great start and I hope all cricketers will take a look on their way past the museum which sits right on the highway heading north to Edmonton.
