Game One -- Calgary Innings:

In a weekend of exciting, riveting action at batting paradise Victoria Park, Edmonton won their first Masters cup, after Calgary had resoundingly claimed the inaugural trophy last year (2009) at home. The matches were played at a level, class and camaraderie befitting the true ideals of the Game’s traditions, spirit and values, as exemplified by the Edmonton skipper, the classy Steve Dutchin, who led by example.

Congratulations to the city team for an outstanding performance this
weekend! For the first time in many years we were able to beat Calgary both
games. Under the leadership of Tyson and incredible support of all the
players, Edmonton fittingly won the first ever presentation of the Robert
Bowen memorial trophy, Bob would have been very proud of your performance!
Defending scores of 168 on Saturday and 158 on Sunday is a remarkable
accomplishment and our entire membership should let our team members know

Edmonton CC Howe Cup WinnersOn June 14, the best 2 teams of Howe Cup tournament (Edmonton CC & Rising Stars CC)played the final and dozens turned up to watch this game.

Bob BowenWith great sadness I announce the passing of Bob Bowen. Bob was a
pillar in the E&DCL for over 40 years. His contribution and commitment
to the game and our league is legendary. The void left by Bob serves
as a challenges to us all.
