Alberta Sports Hall of Fame

At the end of November 2010 the Red Deer Sports hall of fame opened its first exhibit on Cricket. Thanks to many private donations of artifacts and records the staff of the museum, and in particular Tanya Read, compiled a very attractive account to introduce cricket into its rightful spot in the museum. Tanya would liked to have made a larger exhibit and many of the collected items could not be incorporated into this first display. However, it's a great start and I hope all cricketers will take a look on their way past the museum which sits right on the highway heading north to Edmonton.
 
Both the Calgary and Edmonton district cricket leagues are mentioned and contact information is displayed. In my future interactions with the museum staff I will be happy to relay your stories or artifacts for consideration in future displays, so please let me know.
